Why a shorter grow timer changes your hourly income

A small RV 1 example you can check with a calculator, then compare with the Production Plan.
The decision
How much does watering change the sustained output of four Wheat plots? This isolates the grow timer. It is not a claim that you can leave the game unattended for 24 hours and collect the projected total.
Inputs and evidence
The current model has 4 Farmland plots at RV 1. Each Wheat harvest yields 5 items, takes 240 seconds before watering, and sells for 1 Home Coin per item. Wheat’s modeled seed cost is zero. Two waterings each remove one eighth of the full timer, making the effective timer 180 seconds.

Do the arithmetic
Watered items/hour = 4 × 5 × 3,600 ÷ 180 = 400
| Scenario | Effective grow timer | Items / hour | Home Coins / hour | 24-hour model projection |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unwatered | 240 seconds | 300 | 300 | 7,200 |
| Two waterings | 180 seconds | 400 | 400 | 9,600 |
Removing 25% of the timer increases timer-limited throughput by one third: 1 ÷ 0.75 = 1.333…. It is not the same as increasing the yield by 25%. The watered projection is 9,600 Home Coins over 24 continuously productive hours.
Reproduce it in the planner
- Open the planner and select RV 1.
- Select Simple Setup, Coins and a 24-hour duration. Leave event production and premium recipes off.
- Press Calculate My Best Plan. With the current default RV 1 model, compare the Wheat card’s four watered plots and the 400 coins/hour result.
- If the output differs, check that an earlier Custom Setup or imported profile has not changed the inputs.
The live default result was checked in the browser on 21 October 2026 with build 3.0.16. The unwatered comparison is arithmetic from the same input record, not a separately observed gameplay result.
What the calculation leaves out
This is a sustained timer calculation. Planting, harvesting, missed watering, travel, storage limits and time away from the game can reduce real output. Higher-RV plans also need to budget staffing and food. The RV 1 default describes manual tending; do not read the zero assigned Aniimo count as evidence that growing is automatic.
