The event recipes, what to spend Moonray Wheat on, and how the event fits into your Homeland production.
What the Harvest Moon event is
Harvest Moon is an in-game Homeland event that is available from RV 10. During the event you grow two special crops, Waxing Moon Pepper and Moondew Radish, and cook them into event dishes. Moonray Wheat is the event currency: it buys recipe notes and event furniture, and the furniture earns Festival (Event) Points.
In Aniiland you switch the event on in the Event Center. That reserves part of your Farmland for the event crops (two Farmlands by default, and you can change it) so the normal plan does not count that land. Event recipes are left out of the normal Production Plan unless you explicitly enable them.
Event recipes
These are the 8 event recipes in the planner's data. The last column shows the one-time Moonray Wheat price for unlocking the recipe note, where it is known.
| Recipe | Building | Time / work | Yield | Sells for | Inputs | Aniimo skill | Recipe note cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Waxing Moon Pepper | Farmland | 40 min grow 11 work | ×8 | 74 coins | — | Earth Lv.1, Grass Lv.1, Dark Lv.1 | — |
| Moondew Radish | Farmland | 40 min grow 11 work | ×8 | 74 coins | — | Earth Lv.1, Grass Lv.1, Dark Lv.1 | — |
| Umbral Hot Pot | Blazing Stove | 203 work | ×1 | 2,150 coins | 8× Moondew Radish 8× Waxing Moon Pepper 8× Plain Fresh Water | Fire Lv.3+ | 80 Moonray Wheat |
| Moondew Radish Slices | Blazing Stove | 203 work | ×1 | 2,370 coins | 8× Moondew Radish 1× Rock Candy | Fire Lv.3+ | — |
| Roasted Waxing Moon Pepper | Claw Game Cooker | 162 work | ×1 | 1,520 coins | 8× Waxing Moon Pepper 23× Sea Salt | Fire Lv.3+ | — |
| Harvest Platter | Crafting Table | 405 work | ×1 | 5,290 coins | 1× Roasted Waxing Moon Pepper 1× Moondew Radish Slices | Artisanship Lv.3+ | 120 Moonray Wheat |
| Umbral Pickle | Pickling Jar | 203 work | ×1 | 2,290 coins | 8× Moondew Radish 8× Waxing Moon Pepper 1× Cider Vinegar | Dark Lv.3+ | 80 Moonray Wheat |
| Umbral Sweet Spicy Sauce | Simmering Pot | 243 work | ×1 | 2,390 coins | 8× Moondew Radish 8× Waxing Moon Pepper 23× Sea Salt | Fire Lv.3+ | 80 Moonray Wheat |
Both crops are Farmland recipes that need three work steps (Earth, Grass and Dark skills at level 1), take 40 minutes to grow and yield 8 items per harvest. The dishes are made in Claw Game Cooker, Blazing Stove, Pickling Jar, Simmering Pot and Crafting Table buildings, so the event also uses processing buildings you already have.
What to spend Moonray Wheat on
- Buy every recipe note and furniture blueprint once. These one-time purchases fill your collection index and are the first thing to spend on.
- After that, buy the best Event Point furniture you have unlocked. Compare the value of each piece by dividing the Festival Points it gives by the Moonray Wheat it costs:
| Furniture | Moonray Wheat | Festival Points | Points per Wheat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Harvest Moon Market Stall | 37 | 370 | 10.00 |
| Harvest Moon Laurel | 37 | 440 | 11.89 |
| Harvest Moon Starfall | 55 | 660 | 12.00 |
| Harvest Moon Flicker | 44 | 530 | 12.05 |
Based on the values confirmed so far, Harvest Moon Flicker gives the best points per Moonray Wheat, with Starfall and Laurel close behind and Market Stall the lowest of these four. Beyond them the event progression unlocks Osmanthus Rain and Radiant Moon furniture later; their values are not confirmed yet, so they are not in the table. Furniture can be sold back for Bud Tickets, but it is generally better to keep it until the later event stages are understood, unless you have no room left.
Mutated crops
Event crops can mutate. The chance is low, so it is best to focus on mutations while you are actively farming Event Points, or after raising the Plant Research Module, which increases the mutation chance. Mutated crops can be gifted or traded to and from other players. Aniiland does not simulate random mutations in its plans.
Credit and limits
The event strategy math comes from the player guide shared by Dulio in the official Aniimo Discord Player Guides threads. Recipe details were checked against in-game screenshots. Values for the later furniture and event stages may change as the event is explored, so treat the shop comparison above as a snapshot of what is confirmed today.
