Bread: why 280 coins is not 280 coins of added profit
Planner snapshot 3.0.16 · Guide reviewed 21 October 2026 · Unofficial fan guide, not affiliated with Aniimo or its publishers
Follow one recipe through the ingredient trade-off before deciding whether processing is worth the capacity.
The decision
You have the ingredients for one Bread. Should you sell those ingredients or process them? The first comparison is the value you give up. A full production plan must then include how the ingredients are replenished and what else the workers could do.
Read the recipe
In this snapshot, one Bread needs 2 Wheatmeal and 5 Well Water. Its Claw Game Cooker recipe unlocks at RV 4, requires Fire Lv.1, has 108 work, and makes one item worth 280 Home Coins. Work is not a universal number of seconds: worker ability and the model’s work-rate settings matter.

Compare the alternatives
| Ingredient | Quantity consumed | Sale value / unit | Sale value forgone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wheatmeal | 2 | 70 | 140 |
| Well Water | 5 | 12 | 60 |
The 200 coins are an opportunity cost, not a claim that you can buy these ingredients for that price. The comparison assumes the ingredients could instead be sold at their listed prices, and that selling Bread is your goal.
Follow the supply chain
Wheatmeal is made in the Carousel Mill: one batch uses 50 Wheat, requires Wind work and has 54 workload. Bread uses two Wheatmeal, so producing one Bread from that stage needs two mill batches, or 108 mill work, plus the Cooker’s 108 Fire work. It also needs five Well Water. These are different work types and buildings; adding their work does not produce a single-worker craft timer.
If the mill or Water supply is already the bottleneck, assigning a Fire worker to Bread may not increase the number of Bread you can actually make. If you need the ingredients for an order or another food, their value to that goal may also exceed their sale value.
Use this in a plan
- Check the Bread and Wheatmeal rows in the reference guides.
- In the planner, choose an RV and setup with the required buildings and skills.
- Compare the normal Coins result with a Recipe Focus for Bread. Keep the same duration, roster and owned ingredients in both runs.
- Read the change in total net income, not only the Bread line. Recipe Focus intentionally prioritizes a request and need not maximize Coins.
The 80-coin difference above is reproducible arithmetic, not a claim that Bread is always the best or worst choice. The optimizer evaluates the competing supply chains under your selected constraints.
